MADHYA PRADESH   Central audit finds 80% overuse of O2 in 61 MP hospitals A central government audit has found that 61 Covid-designated hospitals in Madhya Pradesh are consuming more liquefied oxygen than prescribed. One third of them are in Indore district, including two government hospitals associated with MGM Medical College, the records say. Overall consumption in 328 Covid-19 hospitals in MP was within prescribed limits. They consumed 234.6 litres per minute (LPM) against 255 prescribed by the central government – calculated for 7,965 patients on oxygen beds and 3,520 in ICUs.
