Madhya Pradesh to boost rural tourism
Madhya Pradesh has received Rs 229 crore as initial funding from the Centre to promote rural tourism.
to showcase the village life, food, tradition and culture, the state government has decided to promote rural tourism to boost economic activity.
the government has identified 100 exotic villages that could be showcased for rural tourism. This would involve a great deal of capacity building and training apart from preparing the villagers for rural home stays and other activities.
Baiga Chak (areas inhibited by Baiga tribe), which are considered as a particularly vulnerable tribal group (PVTG) in the Indian Constitution and rely mostly on shifting cultivation, forest produce and fishing for sustenance.

 

The Personal Data Protection Bill
Outlines framework for handling of personal data including its processing by public and private entities, has been referred to a Joint Committee of both the Houses.
Bill will provide for protection of the privacy of individuals relating to their personal data, specify the flow and usage of personal data, create a relationship of trust between persons and entities processing the personal data, protect the fundamental rights of individuals whose personal data are processed, to create a framework for organisational and technical measures in processing of data, laying down norms for social media intermediary, cross-border transfer, accountability of entities processing personal data, remedies for unauthorised and harmful processing, and to establish a Data Protection Authority of India for the said purposes and for matters connected there with or incidental thereto.

India gets $463.44 million FDI in food processing
India has received foreign direct investment (FDI) of $463.44 million in the food processing sector in the first half of the current fiscal.
The country had received $628.24 million FDI in the food processing sector during the full fiscal year 2018-19 and $904.90 million during 2017-18.
The Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MoFPI) provides credit-linked capital subsidy in the form of grants-in-aid for setting up of various food processing industries/projects/units under its central sector scheme PMKSY.
