MADHYA PRADESH   Swastika-shaped 6th century stupas found in Singrauli   Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) has made a startling discovery of 11 ‘swastika-shaped’ stupas, dating to 6th century AD, at a place called Buddha Danda – locally known as Bodh Dand – in the deep forests of Madhya Pradesh’s Singrauli.   The naturally undulating topography had been used by the builders 1,300 years ago to erect these stupas.   The associated remains indicate a Shaivite lineage – which is surprising since the place name suggests its association with Buddhism.   It is also the time when Adi Shankaracharya was leading a ... MADHYA PRADESH   Employment a major issue for 62% Madhya Pradesh voters: Survey   Employment would be the biggest issue with the 5.14 crore voters in the Lok Sabha polls in Madhya Pradesh, a survey by the Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR) has revealed. MADHYA PRADESH   New radio collars to the Madhya Pradesh tigers   The new collar is a very high frequency (VHF). The six tiger reserves in Madhya Pradesh— Bandhavgarh, Kanha, Panna, Bori-Satpura, Sanjay Dubri and Pench — have 257 big cats, most of who have VHF radio collars.   There was an alleged attempt to hack into the Iridium Satellite Collar of a tiger and trail its movements in Satpura Tiger Reserve (STR) from Pune in Maharashtra a few years ago.
