GHI considers four parameters to for ranking countries:

Undernourishment: share of the population that is undernourished, reflectinginsufficient caloric intake;Child wasting: share of children under the age of five who are wasted (low weightfor-height), reflecting acute under-nutrition;Child stunting: share of children under the age of five who are stunted (low heightfor-, reflecting chronic under-nutrition; andChild mortality: mortality rate of children under age five

 

Reasons for low ranking:

  1. Lack of good quality food
  2. Lack of micronutrient more emphasis on carbohydrate diet. Or lack of balanced diet
  3. Poor hygienic condition
  4. Persistence low level of income, lack of sanitation, regular health check up
  5. Some children don’t get immunised.
