Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that 20.65 lakh houses have been completed against the target of 26.28 lakh, under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural) in the state. Under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Rural, the Panchayat and Rural Development Department has built about one lakh houses in a short period of one month, that too in adverse weather conditions.

Chouhan said that in the current financial year, even after most of the districts of the state are affected by floods and excessive rain during the rainy season, maximum 1.60 lakh houses have been completed between July 1, 2021 and September 22. , 2021. Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Gramin) has been implemented in Madhya Pradesh to achieve the target of Housing for All 2022. Benefits of Ujjwala Yojana, Swachh Bharat Mission, MNREGA wages and other schemes are also being given through convergence along with houses. The three backward Tribes of Madhya Pradesh, Saharia, Baiga and Bharia have also been provided housing under the special project.

Ministry of Social and Empowerment organises Vayo Naman Programme on the International Day of Older Persons, in honour of senior citizens, in New Delhi on 1 October.
